At May Modesty, we want you to feel confident when shopping with us. This Returns & Refund Policy explains your rights and how we handle returns, exchanges, and refunds for orders placed on https://maymodesty.co.uk/.
This policy applies to orders delivered within the United Kingdom.
1. Your Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
If you are purchasing as a consumer online, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item, in accordance with UK consumer law.
To exercise your right to cancel:
- You must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order.
- You then have an additional 14 days to return the item to us.
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be unused, unworn, and unwashed
- All original tags must be attached
- The item must be returned in its original packaging (where reasonably possible)
- Proof of purchase (order number or confirmation email) must be provided
Items returned in a condition that suggests use beyond reasonable inspection may not qualify for a full refund.
2. How to Start a Return

Once your return is approved, we will provide return instructions.
Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.
3. Return Shipping Costs
- For change-of-mind returns, the buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- We recommend using a tracked shipping service, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit during return shipping.
Shipping charges paid at checkout (if any) are non-refundable unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
4. Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon delivery.
If you receive:
- A damaged item
- A faulty item
- The wrong product

We offer exchanges for:

- Faulty or damaged products
- Size changes (subject to availability)
Exchange shipping times may vary depending on stock availability.
If your requested size is unavailable, we may issue a refund instead.
6. Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome.
If approved:
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method
- Refund processing time: 5–7 business days
- Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund
Refunds will only cover the cost of the returned item (excluding original shipping fees, unless required by law).
7. Items That Cannot Be Returned
We may refuse returns if:
- Items show signs of wear, damage, or washing
- Tags have been removed
- The item has been altered
- The return request falls outside the allowed time period
- This does not affect your rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
8. Promotions & Discounts
Refunds apply to the amount actually paid at checkout.
Discount codes must be applied at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retrospectively.
9. No Restocking Fees
May Modesty does not charge restocking fees on eligible returns.
